To get planning, it usually takes 4 – 6 weeks. However, due to the impact of COVID 19 which has caused a lot of backlogs of applications with several local authorities. We advise to allow a minimum of 8 weeks for planning decisions.
Absolutely. We provide planning drawings, building regulation drawings and structural calculations. These are all the essential drawings a contractor and building control need for construction. We also work and build relationships with reputable contractors who can deliver your project to a high standard finish.
That’s where we come in. During the design concept or feasibility stage, we have 3D visualisation experts who can produce a 3D image of the proposed design to show you. This will give you an idea what your project will look like both internally and externally.
At Mado Homes, we do our very best to ensure all plans provided are compliant with the council's requirements. Our experts spend a vast amount of time and dedicated resources to researching council guidelines. Although we cannot guarantee planning approval for any case, we do ensure the best chance and have a fantastic track record. If an application is refused, the council will outline specific reasons in writing. Depending on their concerns for refusal, there is still a good chance we can rectify the issues and submit the application completely free for the aim of an outstanding approval.
The time frame of a Project approval can vary. On average a local council will state the time frame of when the project must be “started”.
The majority of applications must “commence” within a 3 year period of when it was approved. Our experts will be able to better advise you on the best action to take regarding a timing issue
